Working Together To Create A Better Future
Boasting dedicated support
Guangzhou City Polytechnic Formula Team
The China Formula Student series, founded in 2009, is a non-profit public welfare initiative dedicated to providing a public platform for the cultivation and selection of elite automotive talent in China. Each year, participating student teams independently design, manufacture, and debug a Formula Student car. The design and manufacturing process not only tests the team's practical engineering skills but also assesses their comprehensive capabilities in engineering management, commercial marketing, cost control, and investment promotion. Each Formula Student car represents the product of a year's worth of dedicated effort and engineering expertise by a group of ambitious young people, a true reflection of the spirit of craftsmanship.
Guangzhou City Polytechnic Institute
Guangzhou City Polytechnic College (formerly Guangzhou College of South China University of Technology) relies on the strong faculty of South China University of Technology, takes teaching and research as its development foundation, and moral education as its development fundamental. It uses innovative school-running, training and management models to cultivate application-oriented, compound, innovative and entrepreneurial senior professional talents that meet the needs of economic and social development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The college actively encourages students to cultivate innovative capabilities through practice. It boasts two major research and innovation platforms: automotive parts testing and intelligent connected vehicles. Based on these platforms, it has established seven major teams: the Huaqi FSAE Racing, FSEC Electric Racing, FSAC Unmanned Racing, Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Competition, Logistics Technology Competition, and the National Transportation Science and Technology Competition. With an annual innovation budget of 15 million yuan, the college boasts an approximately 80% student participation rate across undergraduate and graduate programs. The college has received nearly 90 provincial and higher-level awards and 44 authorized patents.
Team Honors
The Guangzhou University of Technology's Hua Auto Racing Team, a gasoline-powered team, has participated in ten competitions since 2013, winning numerous national first-place awards and individual awards. The Hua Auto Racing Team's electric-powered team, participating for the first time in 2020, was the only one of four new teams to pass the battery box inspection. Due to the pandemic, the 2021 season saw them compete in an online static defense, winning second prize nationally. In the 2022 Formula Student China, the Guangzhou University of Technology's Hua Auto Racing Team, after fierce competition, won both the China Student Electric Formula and second prizes in the China Formula Student China.
Biaobang visits the Hua Auto team
In 2022, Biaobang sponsored the Hua Auto Team, and in 2023, it will continue to empower students' dreams. In order to further understand the process of designing and making racing cars for students in Formula One events, and to further deepen the school-enterprise cooperation in the future, Biaobang company representatives visited Guangzhou City Polytechnic College.
Representatives from Biaobang Company and the school visited the motor test bench laboratory, engine test bench laboratory and the processing workshops for oil and electric racing cars. At the same time, the school enthusiastically introduced the various components of the racing cars.
This sponsorship of the Hua Auto Formula One race marks the third stop in the 2023 "Biaobang National Campus Tour" series. While the event is currently under preparation, it marks a step forward in strengthening school-enterprise collaboration, leveraging the strengths of both parties, and enabling schools to cultivate high-quality, highly skilled talent for businesses and society.
Next, Biaobang wishes the Hua Auto team great success in the 2023 races, and hopes they will "go further" on the road of racing! The Biaobang National Campus Tour will collaborate with more universities to implement "first" events, and will promote the development of automotive professional skills education in line with the new era of "1+1+N" industry-university integration.
The next stop of the "Biaobang National Campus Tour" will be even more exciting, so stay tuned!
